I left the Christopher Cross show last night just before Alejandro Escovedo's set. I was thinking about hanging around to hear him, but decided to head over to La Zona Rosa to see Kimbra, Dr. John, and Gary Clark, Jr., which I ended up not getting in to. Then I see on the cover of the Chronicle today that Bruce Springsteen and Joe Ely showed up to sit in with Alejandro. Oops. Luckily, I scored a ticket to this evening's Springsteen show in a venue that seats about 2,600, so I don't have to feel too bad about missing him last night.
Plus, I got to see Screaming Females, and they were fantastic, so no regrets.
